Mena Alexandera Suvari is an American actor, model and fashion designer. Born on 13 February 1979. After launching her acting career Mena Alexandra Svari was a regular as an actress in the 1990s on television shows Boy Meets World and High Incident. She debuted in film with the drama Nowhere, which was released in 1997. Her transition into big roles through her appearances on American Beauty for which she received nominations for an BAFTA Award and American Pie and American Pie, both of which gained the attention of the world. She was in the film industry for a year, and appeared in American Pie alongside American Pie co star Jason Biggs. In 2001, she took on the main part in Sugar & Spice (2000). She had appearances in the 2002 independent drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller film Trauma. Other appearances on HBO include the series Six Feet Under. In 2008 she was cast in a string of films which included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the adaptation film to The Garden of Eden. Suvari was featured in numerous fashion magazines and blogs, including Vogue. She is a Lancome model as well as appearing in ads in print in Lancome Paris Adaptive. She has backed and served as an advocate for the African Medical and Research Foundation for a number of years.
